Chill out space as open as ever

The Hub's facilities are as safe, open and available as ever for all youths seeking a place after school to hang out and chill out for fun in the common room, food in the kitchen or our computer room for homework.

We also provide free Wi-Fi for a variety of needs. Entertainment technology, like our projector used for movies, and physical entertainment items like our ping pong table, are available on demand.

Young musicians (and those seeking to learn the way of the tune) are also welcomed to use the music room space during this time, as long as no other group has hired the space.

As always, chill out sessions are open after school hours only.

No fault in our July holiday program

Film ReelIn the July holidays, the Hub will be marking a chilly holiday fortnight with a movie excursion on Tuesday 1st July. BSYS will be running buses to the movie "The Fault in our Stars" for youth in Bellingen, Dorrigo and Urunga.

The movie is M rated, so youths will need their parents' permission to see the film. The cost is $8.50 including the bus fee and ticket. Call (02) 6655 0167 to book your place with us!

The next Tuesday (8th July) there will be activities such as art with Tamie and Magdalena and the Hub's chill out space will be open for visits.

Three awesome weeks coming up at the Hub in January

The Hub will be starting the new year with a BANG as we will hold a week of activities from 7th January, Camp Creative week from 13th Jan and a series of workshops from 20th January. There is something of interest for every youth in these weeks!

Activity Week will include cooking, sewing, clothes making, music jamming, watching movies and gaming, with our popular Console Games Night event making a comeback January 9th. Bring your own console and play games with your friends at the Hub with our awesome screen.

Workshop Week is keeping us busy with a Rivers Dance Studio Summer Intensive (book early – fees are applicable!), art with Fiona, silk flag making with Magdalena and graffiti with Tamie, both from Bellingen Shire Youth Services.

Camp Creative week is part of greater events happening across Bellingen.
